The first half of my 2nd trimester of pregnancy was pretty smooth sailing just like my 1st trimester. The biggest change has been my growing baby bump but overall I felt good during weeks 13-20. I also started my weekly updates (or as I like to call them "bumpdates") during week 15 once my bump started to grow more.
-14 Weeks - Not much changed during these weeks from week 12. I started having more energy but still got tired and liked to nap often during the day. Week 13 I started working out again regularly everyday doing some leg and arm workouts/weight and yoga routines.
Weeks - Baby is the size of an apple. I'm starting to get a little baby bump but a lot of times it still mostly feels like a food baby belly. I can still suck it in and push it out lol. I have just started to gain a little weight (not much) and all my clothes still fit currently. The last couple weeks I have gotten more energy and have been able to get back into my daily workout routines (yay!). I still get tired throughout the day and try to nap when I can but overall I'm feeling great. I had another appointment with my midwife (first in a month) and all is looking good. My iron levels are good and Baby's heartbeat was high 140s/low 150s.
Weeks - Baby is the size of an avocado. I'm still feeling good and the same as I was at 15 weeks. I'm enjoying being able to workout again as it helps energize me. I haven't had an increase or decrease in my normal appetite as of yet. I haven't had any out of the ordinary food cravings but have been wanting a lot of cheesy things the last week. I have had a lot of congestion and a couple nose bleeds (my first eveer) but nothing too bad. Went on our first trip during pregnancy to Virginia and Bump had its first Thanksgiving. Only a couple weeks until we find out if Baby is a girl or boy!
Weeks - Baby is the size of an onion. The last couple of days I have been craving fruit and my appetite has seemed to slow down some. We now have a crib taken care of for Baby thanks to my wonderful parents :) My immune system still seems to be good and working in overdrive--Robbie has been sick with the flu the last few days (2nd time in a month) and thankfully Baby and I have stayed healthy both times. We are so excited to find out soon if Baby is a boy or girl and I pray Baby cooperates so we can tell!
Weeks - Baby is the size of a sweet potato. I'm starting to get a cold again but otherwise I'm good health wise. My appetite has been smaller then usual the last few days and I'm starting to find it a little difficult to get comfortable to sleep at night time. Once I'm asleep I have no problem staying that way (in between the frequent pee breaks of course). I still haven't felt Baby move yet but am anxious to do so. I had my first gender dream last night that Baby was a girl, so we shall see. We find out next week if Baby is a girl or boy!
Weeks - Baby is the size of a mango. The last few days I have noticed my lower stomach getting a lot tighter and been having some round ligament pain. We had our anatomy scan on Monday and all is looking great and healthy so far. They couldn't get a good view of Baby's spine so we'll get another ultrasound at my next appointment. We also found out that Baby is a GIRL!! My fears of Baby hiding and not finding out gender were in vain...she wasn't shy about letting us know she was a girl at all! Her heart looks good with a strong beat, she has two little kidneys and all 10 fingers. She currently weighs about 9 oz and her size if measuring right on track with her age. I am so excited to start getting everything at home ready for Baby and to welcome her to the family in just a few more months!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a banana. We're officially to the half way mark! We made our first plane flight during pregnancy and it went smoothly. The last couple days my bump has seemed to fill out and is finally starting to be noticable (to others besides myself). I'm still feeling good and haven't had to make any adjustments to my normal workout/yoga routines yet. I still get tired and like to nap during the day. I haven't had many food cravings but I do get food aversions off and on. I still eat the same amount as I did before pregnancy but I have started gaining weight the last couple months so my midwife is happy. I haven't felt Baby move yet but am hoping I'll begin to in the next coupld weeks. We're still deciding on the perfect name for Baby and I'm excited to start working on her nursery after getting home from the holidays!
