The second half of my 2nd trimester has been pretty good. I've mostly been tired and try to nap whenever I can throughout the day. I've also gotten back to my regular daily workout routines and its been helping to energize me and overall help me feel better. I've had minimal aches and pains--my yoga and belly support band have seemed to be a huge help with this. I feel like my bump has popped even more just in the last couple weeks. I've been having lots of fun working on all my sewing and DIY projects for Baby. I've been prepping for everything coming up and working on getting the nursery and everything ready for Baby's arrival as it quickly approaches.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a pomegranate. We had our first airplane trip during pregnancy and celebrated Bump's first Christmas. I've been having some movement that I think may be Baby fluttering the last couple days but I'm not sure. I've begun to get some things for Baby's nursery and plane to start working on it soon. I also just started Baby's first blanket (my first project as I teach myself to sew). I've been pretty sensitive to smells lately and extra thirsty the last couple days. Some nights I'm having trouble getting comfortable to sleep but other nights I have no issue. I've been wanting hashbrowns a lot recently. I made a list of items we need for Baby and am enjoying slowly checking thinks off.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a papaya. We started working on Baby's registry but still have some updating and researching to do. I'm getting back into my daily workout routines again after the holidays. Breakfast has become my favorite meal again and sometimes I wake up overly hungry in the mornings. I finished sewing Baby's first blanket last night and am having fun finding craft ideas for the nursery. I have been organizing all of Baby items we have so far. I got my first pair of maternity pants and love them (although there is still a lot of growing room to go in the stretchy belly area)! We celebrated Bump's first New Years and now it's officially baby year.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a grapefruit. I had another ultrasound on Monday and they were able to see everything they needed to. Baby;s heart outtake and spine look great (and shes's definitely still a girl lol). There is a spot of possible fluid around her heart so my midwife is sending me to get a special more detailed ultrasound done just to be cautious and verify if it's anything or not. Even if it is fluid it could still mean nothing, we'll know more after the appointment in a couple weeks. Baby is now about 1lb 3oz and measuring at the 52% for her age (which is average). My iron levels are still good and about the same as when I tested in November. I'm feeling more frequent Baby flutters now and felt Baby's kicks for the first time Wednesday night.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a cantaloupe. I have been feeling Baby move/kick more this week which has been exciting. This past week I started wearing my hip/belly support band more regularly and it has been a huge help! Since wearing the support band more and working out regularly again I haven't had hardly any back pain. I finished sewing Baby's 2nd blanket and a lovey/tag blanket. I'm so excited to continue working on all my other projects! We got everything moved out of Baby's nursery and got the framing taped. Should begin painting soon--I'm just deciding on a couple accent ideas before starting so I don't have to redo it. We have our special ultrasound on Monday which I'm a little nervous about but excited to get to see Baby again! Praying everything goes well.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a cauliflower. I've been feeling a little more tired then usual lately and have been wanting cookies a lot this past week. We had our special ultrasound and the fluid around Baby's heart turned out to be fine and nothing out of the ordinary (yay!). On the flip side they found a spot on the bottom of Baby's heart that looks like it could possibly be a hole in her heart. So now they're sending me to get an Echocardiogram (detailed heart ultrasound) done to verify what it is and where to go from there. The Dr said they're just being cautious and seemed very optimistic that it won't be anything too bad. Praying that is the case! Other then that one spot Baby looks great and healthy, no other issues or concerns! Her heart has all 4 chambers and is the right size it should be. She is now about 1lb 9oz and in the 49% for her age.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a lettuce head. We're into the double digits of days left now! I've been busy with lots of sewing projects for Baby and collecting more items we need. I'm staying regular with my workouts and overall feeling pretty good. I still get pretty tired throughout the day but don't think that's gonna change. My appetite has been smaller then usual the last few days and I've been wanting mac n cheese more again. Now that I'm nearing the 3rd trimester I am starting to look into booking my Baby classes and hospital tour.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a yellow turnip. As of today Baby's due date is exactly 3 months away! Baby has been moving around a lot this past week and I've been wanting strawberry milk almost everyday. I had another appointment with my midwife and got to hear Baby's heartbeat--it sounds good and strong in the 150s. I got tested for diabetes and passed. I'm now going to be having more regular appointments every other week instead of once a month. Baby's Echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) is scheduled for next week. We found a great deal on a swing and finally started painting Baby's nursery.
