Week 28 marked the beginning of the my 3rd trimester. The first half of my 3rd trimester has been pretty smooth sailing (luckily). I've been feeling pretty good and able to continue keeping up with my workouts. I've also been doing a lot to get Baby's nursery and things ready for her arrival. I wanted to be prepared in case she comes early and also do it all while I still have the energy and nesting urge lol. I've been able to accomplish most of my goals and also get my baby classes taken care of. I am so excited of Baby Girl's arrival and can't believe it's quickly approaching! It still feels so surreal that she'll be here soon.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of an eggplant. Officially in the 3rd trimester! We had Baby's Echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) and found out she does have a small hole in her heart. Luckily it's nothing too serious, won't require surgery and should close on its own. Dr said it won't affect my birth plan or Baby's health (which I am very thankful for). The rest of Baby's heart looks great, it's working perfectly and is the right size it should be for her age. I have another Echocardiogram scheduled for April to check on the hole and see if it has gotten smaller or grown with Baby as she grows. The Dr was very happy with the results and said it's just a matter of seeing me/Baby a couple more times until the hole closes (could be in the womb or after birth). We got Baby's coming home outfit and I'm starting to make my hospital bag checklist. We celebrated Bump's first Valentine's and I can't believe soon she'll be celebrating holidays with us in person!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of an acorn squash. I had another appointment with my midwife and all is looking good. Baby's heart sounds good in the 150s and my bump is measuring right on track with my weeks. Baby has been moving around a lot lately and I'm now starting to keep track of her daily movements. I'm still able to workout and overall feeling good--I'm trying to use this to my advantage to get as much done around the house as I can. I'm still working on Baby's nursery and am a little over halfway down with the painting (it's been taking a lot longer then I thought but I'm so excited for how it's turning out). We went on our hospital tour and now things are starting to feel a lot more real that Baby will be here soon!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a cucumber. Only 10 weeks let until Baby's due date! Over the weekend we had a wonderful baby shower and took maternity photos. I have finished the majority of painting for Baby's nursery (only have some little touch ups left). My next projects are getting what we still need and working on organizing everything. We have our childbirth and baby basics classes booked for later this month. It's all coming together and I'm excited to start working on some nursery decor projects.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a pineapple. I'm still working out and have been wanting blueberry bagels a lot. We had another growth ultrasound last week and Baby was about 3lb 13oz. They said if I go to my due date she'll probably be about 7 1/2 lbs (I'm thankful she shouldn't get too big and hope she's on the smaller side). She's right on track for her age, her fluid and heart are good. The tech said she already has quite a bit of hair and will probably have a lot when she's born. She's also now head down which I was assuming since she's been kicking me in the ribs a lot lately. I'm still working on some sewing projects and getting all my baby classes done. Less then two months to go until Baby's due date!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a squash. I completed my childbirth class and am now having a hard time putting on socks and shoes. You can see Baby's kicks and movements through my belly sometimes now. We did an elective 3D ultrasound where Baby kept moving around and had her face pressed against my uterus the majority of the time lol. We were able to get some good photos and video clips though (including one of her smiling)! Baby's heartbeat was 153 and she now weighs about 4lb 1oz, which they said is right at the 50% for her age. The tech also looked at the hole in her heart while we were killing time trying to get Baby to move and said it looked like it was measuring smaller then when it was last looked at--we're really hoping this will be the case when we get her next Fetal Echo ultrasound done with her heart Dr in a couple weeks! I'm now finalizing my hospital bag checklist and collecting what I still need for it.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a durian. My feet/hands are starting to swell some and I've been feeling more tired then usual this past week. I had another midwife appointment and everything is still looking good. I did my epidural consult and baby basics class, and now all my pre-Baby classes are done! My appetite has been smaller again the last couple days and I'm back to wanting fruit. We got a couple more big items for Baby and I'm now working on some nursery decor projects.
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a butternut squash. This has been pretty much my last all free week before Baby comes and I've been taking full advantage of it by getting things done around the house in preparation for her arrival. The painting in Baby's nursery is finally all done (yay!) and I finished all my nursery canvas paintings. I only have a couple more little decor projects to make and am still sewing away on a few things. We got the pack n play, stroller and carseat all set up and ready to go (thanks in huge part to my daddy for helping out with it all)! I'm also collecting all the final things I need for my hospital bag, Baby has been a little wiggly worm lately, kicking me mostly in my right side and I have been wanting oatmeal cream pies this past week,
