Trimester Comparison - Each of my trimesters started off very similar, with my only real symptom being exhaustion. I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks and began taking photos every couple of weeks just to see if the bump was growing or not. I didn't start with my weekly photos/updates (or as I call them "bumpdates") until I was about 15 weeks and started getting a little bitty bump. Here are my comparison photos from the beginning of each trimester (1st trimester at 5 weeks, 2nd trimester at 12 weeks, 3rd trimester at 28 weeks).
Baby Shower - The first weekend in March, during my 30th week, we went up to Virginia to see family. My wonderful mother and sisters through me an amazing baby shower while we were there. It was The Little Mermaid themed (of course). I had a great time and loved seeing some old friends. I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends and family to shower so much love on us and Baby!
Maternity Photos - While up in VA for my baby shower, we had a family friend take our maternity photos. It was freezing (to me anyway) the day of the photos, and of course, my clothes all looked cute and summery/warm weather type of outfits. I suffered through the cold and wore my coat in between takes lol, but it was all worth it! The photos came out great and I absolutely LOVE them! Here are a couple of my faves :) Photo credit: Melissa Eggleston Photography.
3D Ultrasound - We did an elective 3D ultrasound at 31 weeks. Baby kept moving around a lot and had her face pressed against my uterus for the majority of the time. We were able to get some cute photos and videos of her, though (including one of her smiling). While killing time trying to get Baby to move, the tech measured Baby, and she's still right on track for her age, right at the 50%. She weighed about 4lb 1oz, and her heartbeat was 153. It's so crazy to see all the detail ultrasounds pick up nowadays, especially the 3D ones. You can make out her features--she's got the cutest little lips, nose, and cheeks!
