Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a coconut. I've been busy washing all of Baby's clothes and trying to finish up my sewing projects this week. We had Baby's 2nd Echocardiogram on Wednesday and the Dr was very happy with the results! The hole in her heart has gotten smaller and Dr said since Baby is a lot bigger the hole is in sense a lot smaller compared to her body size. Baby will have another heart ultrasound once she's about 6-8 weeks old to check on it again. I had another midwife appointment today and she too was very pleased with the results from our Echocardiogram. Baby was very active and her heart rate was in the 160s! I got tested for the group strep B and checked for progress. I have not started dilating yet but Baby's head is really far down which is good as she most likely won't change positions prior to birth. My midwife said I am now in the "safe zone" where if I was to go into labor they wouldn't prevent it but they're also not going to be starting it now either. I still have the all clear to keep working out and started a couple special routines to help prep for labor. It's crazy to think there's only 5 weeks left until Baby's due date--it still doesn't feel completely real!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a honeydew melon. We had another growth ultrasound this week and all looks good. Baby's heart rate was 170s and she was super active kicking away during my whole appointment. Baby is measuring in the 46th percentile right at 6lbs (which they said could really be 14 oz more or less). Dr believes I'm already having some Braxton Hicks as she felt one while using the dopler but luckily they aren't painful. I finished doing all of Baby's laundry and am now working on getting it all put away. My hospital bag is almost all ready to go and I'm working on getting everything in the house cleaned. I'm now having Dr appointments weekly and it's starting to hit me that Baby could come anytime! I still can't believe there's only 4 weeks left until her due date!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a winter melon. I met with my 2nd new Dr this week as my midwife was booked for the 2nd week in a row (but luckily I get to see her at my appointment next week). Dr said I am now considered full term. All looks good and normal still with Baby. I have waves of tiredness and energy off and on every day. I've been slacking a little lately on my workouts but am working hard on sticking with them consistently as Baby's due date gets closer. I'm having some more noticeable Braxton Hicks but luckily they still aren't painful. Baby still seems very content to stay where she is right now. This past week was Bump's first Easter and my big project was getting my car completely cleaned out and vacuumed/shampooed. We're now down to 3 weeks until Baby's due date!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a pumpkin. I met with my midwife this morning and my blood pressure and everything is good. Baby's heart rate was in the 150s. I have started to thin out a little bit and Baby's head is lower, but I still haven't started dilating yet. My midwife said not dilating doesn't mean much and that it could still happen any day or be weeks still. So at this point we're just waiting on Baby to decide she's ready. I'm feeling huge but pretty good for the most part. I'm still working out and have been wanting french fries a lot this past week. We got the crib set up and I'm working on trying to get the nursery finished. I got Baby's car seat set up in the car and my hospital bag packed and ready to go whenever the time comes. Only 2 weeks left until Baby's due date!
Weeks - Baby Girl is the size of a watermelon. I can't believe we're into the single digits with only 7 days to go until Baby's due date! This week I have been walking/exercising more and our big project was getting all the yard and garden work done over the weekend. I have been wanting salty food a lot this week and also snacking on fruit quite a bit. I'm a little more on the uncomfortable side but overall feeling good. My next appointment is tomorrow. I was hoping Baby would come this week before my appointment but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case. My midwife said they'll let me go to 41 weeks before talking about inducing but I'm praying Baby comes on her own before then. I'm really hoping she comes at least before Mother's Day but we'll see. Baby's running the show right now. Only 1 week until her due date!
*While I made it to 39 weeks (just barely!) I didn't get a bump photo before our little princess decided to make her entrance. I hit 39 weeks on May 4th and that night was when my contractions started. I wrote up the above update on the 4th and had been planning on taking my bump photo on the 5th but never made it. As luck would have it we went to the hospital the morning of the 5th and I never did make it to my appointment that day like I had been hoping beforehand. Lol. Stay tuned for my birth story blog post to come soon :)
