Letters to Lacey Belle: 3 Months

8/6/2017
Lacey Belle is 3 months old! She has been having a lot more playtime lately and just graduated to size 2 diapers. She's still in 0-3 month clothes but is outgrowing some of her footy pj's because she's so long. She chews on her hands constantly and just rolled over for the first time from her tummy to her back this afternoon! She loves sitting up (with assistance), talking and playing patty cake.

Dearest Lacey Belle,

You are now 3 months old! I've heard people say constantly not to blink because the time flies by too quickly and that you'll be grown before I know it, etc. And while it feels in a way like just yesterday you were born, this past month seemed to slow down instead of speed up like the first two did. I am thankful for that everyday! I am so happy being your mommy. You light up my days a little bit brighter and bring so much laughter and tears (some of joy and some of frustration--but mostly of joy) to my life. You rolled over (from your tummy to your back) for the first time during tummy time on your 3 monthiversary and I was so incredibly proud. What some may say is a small achievement is a huge one to me as it marks that you are growing and getting bigger everyday. I love dressing you up in cute little outfits, putting all the bows on your head and sewing you new things. You have the brightest, big eyes and they're still blue! I love how happy and smiling you get when seeing me after waking from a nap (it's the cutest). You're little sneezes are so precious and just as cute as the day you were born. I make up new songs for you often and when I sang the Gilmore Girls theme to you the other day you couldn't decide if you liked it or not lol. I believe you'll grow to love it when you get older and can understand the show for yourself. You really enjoy chewing on your hands (I fear this means you'll be teething soon) and talking/screaming now that you've found your voice. One of my new favorite things you do is wiping your face/snuggling up into me when I have you on my shoulder. You do it when you're tired and its the sweetest thing! You also seem to always know when I leave the room--even if only for a second--and you don't like it. You always prefer to be near the action. So we've started bringing you in your little seat into the kitchen when making meals and sometimes I put you in the stroller and push you through the house. Every day you're growing and learning more. I love seeing the world through your eyes! Now if we could just get you settled into a solid nighttime routine and sleep schedule I'd be over the moon lol. You are so very precious and loved more then you know! Happy 3 months of life my little love!

Love,
Mommy
