Lacey Belle is 5 months old!! She started on rice cereal and loves it! She plays with toys often now and spits frequently. She just rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time and can put her paci back in/out of her mouth on her own. She does a little inch worm like movement to scooch forward while on her tummy. She is also sleeping for about 7 hours consistently at nighttime now! She dislikes taking naps and loves her exersaucer, interacting with others, and me singing "Rock-a-bye Baby" to her.
Dearest Lacey Belle,
You are 5 months old now! This month has been a really good and smooth one for us both. The biggest milestone for me was you getting into a solid nighttime routine/schedule. You would sleep for 7+ hours straight at night which made mommy so happy and proud. Despite being on a good sleep schedule at night, you don't nap during the day. Some days have been long and hard on mommy due to no naps but I choose to look at the positive and be thankful for getting good solid sleep at night at least. I have also been working on sleep training/getting you to sleep in your crib and its been quite the struggle so far you aren't a fan. But you did nap in your crib for the first time this month (one of the rare times you actually napped lol). One of your favorite things we did this month was get you an exersaucer for more playtime...you absolutely LOVE it! It's so cute seeing you sitting up in it surrounded by all your toys and it's helping to strengthen your legs more too. The puppies love coming to see you while you play in it and you love being on the puppies level. You roll over from your tummy to back but it's still not consistent. And you just rolled over for the first time from your back to tummy on your 5 monthiversary! I started you on rice cereal and you love it! You also had a bottle for the first time and did great with it. You get so excited when you see the bottle and get your rice cereal. Ever since starting to get food you have been very observant of when mommy eats or drinks anything. You just watch me constantly. One of the most noticeable new things I've seen this month is that you put your paci in and out of your month with ease now. If you see your paci laying you grab it. You love tummy time now and enjoy playing with your toys. You love our morning routine of tummy and toy time while mommy gets your clothes for the day, You have even started doing this move like an inch worm where you put your legs up under you in the crawling position and push yourself forward by scooting on your tummy. You haven't figure out your arms yet but when you do you'll be crawling! I know it'll be here before I know it. I'm just trying to enjoy the time you're still stationary and not making me chase you around yet lol. I have started rocking and reading to you which you seem to enjoy. I also have been singing more to you and so far "Rock-a-bye Baby" is your favorite--you love it and get so excited and smiley whenever I sing it to you. I have seen how fast you seem to be growing this month and just want to enjoy every little thing you do and document every little milestone you reach. I love you so much, my sweet, sweet girl! Happy 5 months of life my little bug!
