Lacey Belle is 9 months old!! She weighs 16 lbs and is in size 4 diapers. She is crawling now, babbling often, and can position herself from laying to sitting on her own. She can say "ba ba" & "puh puh" (aka puffs). She dislikes wearing hair bows and loves rolling her ball back and forth with us, eating puffs & being outside.
Dearest Lacey Belle,
I know I'm late in writing and posting this letter but these last couple months have been crazy and so busy! This month you have been changing and growing so much! You are able to go from laying down to sitting up all on your own now. You are crawling now and having you mobile has been a little adjustment for us. One day you took about two crawling strides and the next you just took off across your room! Once you figured it out there was no stopping you. You LOVE crawling around and being able to go up to your fur sisters instead of them always coming to you. You are also becoming more vocal and like to babble and make random sounds often. Your first word was "ba ba" for bottle and then it was followed quickly by "puh puh" for puffs. I started giving you puffs for a snack and you are obsessed with them! They are your absolute favorite and you scream "puh puh" for them and to get more when you run out. You have also decided this month you do not like wearing hair bows and pull them out right away whenever I put them in lol. Taking your 9 month pictures was a little rough as you don't like sitting still now that you can crawl you want to 24/7 lol. But we managed to get a couple good photos out of the bunch. Your hair is also coming in thicker now and it seems to be a little darker but still pretty light..I'm so curious to see what color it is once it gets long. When we had your 9 month Dr. check up we found out you have gained only a couple ounces from your 6 month check up (oops). Your Dr thinks the reason is that you need to be eating 3 food meals a day and a lot more meat. Currently you have only been doing 1 baby food meal a day and have only been having fruits and veggies. So we're going to try it and see if it helps. Dr also thinks it will help you sleep better at night and not wake up starving multiple times. I'm very hopeful of that so I can get some more nighttime rest again! Some more news with our family this month we got a new car (a Ford Explorer) and its so nice to have A/C again! You and me also took our first solo road trip up to Virginia to meet your newest cousin baby Leah. The car rides were a little rough as you screamed a lot but you had a blast playing with the cousins and family while we were there. It was a fun little mommy.daughter trip. It is so much fun watching you grow and seeing your personality coming through! I love you more each and every day! Happy 9 months of life my little cupcake!
Love,
Mommy
