Baby Humble #2: Gender Reveal

We had our big anatomy/gender ultrasound on Monday 4/23/2018. Just like with Baby #1, I was so excited to find out the gender of Baby #2 and counted down the time until we could find out. I was able to do my scan on the early end at 18 weeks. Thankfully, the first half of my pregnancy seemed like it went by pretty fast. My gender dreams this pregnancy were no help because the first one I had it was twins (a boy and a girl) and all my other baby dreams up to finding out had only been about twins. Unlike the first time around, this time I wasn't worried about Baby hiding it's gender at all and was surprisingly not that nervous for the ultrasound. With my first pregnancy I didn't have a gender gut feeling one way or another but for some reason this time I was so sure I knew what Baby was going to be so I was super excited to have it confirmed at the ultrasound.

At the start of the ultrasound the tech asked if we wanted to know the gender to which I responded "yes!". Baby was sleeping and all curled up so we couldn't see anything at first. The tech went about taking measurements while waiting for Baby to move. When she checked again we still couldn't see anything and the tech said the cord was in the way. I said, "Great, this baby does not want us to know what it is" and at that point I started getting nervous about if we would even be able to find out. Lacey Belle was super easy to tell, legs wide open, super obvious but this Baby didn't seem to want us to know it's gender. The tech reassured me that she would get the Baby to move and we wouldn't leave without knowing what Baby was so I relaxed a little bit. When the tech tried to look again she froze on the screen but it took awhile to process what I was looking at. I was completely shocked as it was not what I expected to hear or see at all LOL. Here is our official gender reveal on social media:

Lacey Belle's getting a baby brother!
