Weston is 2 months old! He is now cooing and smiling when being talked to. He fights sleep often but is consistently sleeping for about 6 hours and only getting up once at night to eat after going to sleep. He's in size 1 diapers and is transitioning to 0-3 month clothes. He loves: being worn in the baby carrier, being talked to & any type of movement (swaying/swinging/riding in the car and stroller). He dislikes: being left alone & going to sleep.
Dearest Weston,
You are now 2 months old! There has been a lot of changes the beginning of this month for you. We lived with mommy's best friend for a week after getting back to NC and then settled into our temporary apartment. We are waiting for our home to get repaired after the Hurricane. I'm just happy to all be back together. Daddy and your fur sisters (Stralia & Trixie) missed you bunches while we were away. You are changing and growing every day. You are now starting to coo and smile/react when we talk to you. It is so adorable! You love being worn around in the baby carrier. Sometimes it's the only way I can get stuff done around the house--I just put you in it and carry you around. Any kind of movement is your absolute favorite and will put you to sleep (riding in the car, swinging in the swing, going for a ride in the stroller). You absolutely hate being left alone--or thinking you're alone whenever left in a separate room from me. You have started fighting sleep for hours and having a hard time staying asleep which is exhausting. You cluster feed for hours especially at nighttime and then will crash for 5-6 hour chunks consistently at night. I keep reminding myself that if you're gonna not sleep I'd rather it be during the day when I'm awake and have you sleep better at night. You can sleep through sister yelling an screaming. You have started taking a paci but don't use/love it nearly as much as Lacey Belle always has. You have been consistently waking only once to eat after finally crashing at night which has been such a blessing. Lacey Belle was the opposite of you--great day time sleeper but horrible nighttime sleeper so it is a nice welcome change having you be the opposite. You are eating a lot and growing fast. You weighed 12lbs at your 2 month check up (taken at 2 1/2 months) and were in the 50% for both weight and height. You also got your first shots which was so sad. I hate hearing your little sad cries it's so heartbreaking. We also celebrated your first Halloween with a "Little Mermaid" family theme. Lacey Belle was Ariel, you were Flounder, daddy was King Triton & mommy was Vanessa (human Ursula). When I was 2 years old and my sister Julia (Aunt JuJu to you) was born people would ask me what her name was and I would always say "Flounder" because Little Mermaid was my favorite movie so I decided to have you be sisters little Flounder. You didn't know what to think of the costumes but were a pretty good sport for some photos. You love watching and being involved. You are too cute! Happy 2 months of life my little buddy!
