Since there is a 4-year age gap between the boys, we knew we wanted to add another little one closer in age so Broddy could have a playmate. After settling into things as a family of five and with it taking six months trying to get pregnant with baby #3, we decided we'd start trying for baby #4. We were pleasantly surprised and excited that it happened right away with baby #4!
We found out we were pregnant at 4 weeks with an at-home test and confirmed it at 5 weeks at a pregnancy center. I had an early free ultrasound done at a local pregnancy center at 7 weeks, but it was so hard to see much since it was so early. We clearly saw the heart beating, though. We told my family in person when we went to visit over Thanksgiving, but waited to announce until I had my first doctor's appointment, had my first ultrasound, and got into the 2nd trimester.
