My first trimester this fourth time around has been the same, but different. I had the worst morning sickness out of all of my kids, but it was still mild compared to most. I never got sick, but I had nausea for a few weeks, and it was hard to eat much. Other than that it was just my typical exhaustion, which I'm sure was egged on by having a wild toddler to chase around LOL. Here are all the details of my 1st trimester in more detail.
-6 weeks - At 4 weeks, I got my first positive test at home and some nausea. At 5 weeks, I got the pregnancy confirmation at a pregnancy center and started scheduling my first appointments with my Dr. More tired than usual, frequent peeing & a stuffy nose. At 6 weeks, I started having some more nausea and an upset stomach. Had some food/smell aversions. Nothing really sounds good. Had a popcorn, string cheese, and toast/English muffin phase.
weeks - At 7 weeks, I had my first ultrasound at the pregnancy center (the earliest I've ever had one). Clearly found Baby and saw the heartbeat flicker on screen. Baby measured at 6w2d. Couldn't get a good reading on Baby's heart rate, but seemed high, and we clearly saw it beating on the screen.
-10 weeks - At 9 weeks, I had nausea off and on, the worst at nighttime (the most morning sickness I've ever had). Snacking regularly to help. Food/smell aversions (can't drink OJ). In an apple juice, gold fish, toast, and potato (baked potato, fries, hash browns, etc) phase.
weeks - At 11 weeks I did another ultrasound at pregnancy center baby was sucking thumb & kicking feet. HR was 174, and the baby measured right on track to the day. Had my first doctor's appointment, and HR on Doppler was 170s. Did blood work for NIPT genetic + gender testing.
weeks - At 12 weeks, we did a Christmas-themed pregnancy announcement. In a pizza, Kraft Mac n cheese & salad wrap phase. Had my first gender dream. Got our NIPT results. Everything looks great, and I got the gender results, but I decided to wait to confirm at an ultrasound.
